Mr. Savitch was previously the Regional Chief Executive for Kadlec Health System prior to having the role expanded to include responsibility for Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. He began at Kadlec in 2006 as the Medical Center President. He had served as the interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, AK, the COO of the Ballard Campus at Swedish Health System, Senior Executive Director at Stevens Healthcare (now Swedish-Edmonds) and Administrator (CEO) of Valley General Hospital in Monroe, WA.
Mr. Savitch has a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry from Western Washington University and Advanced Credential in Hospital and Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota MHA program. Mr. Savitch is a member of the Board of Directors of Tri-Cities Home Health LLC, a member of the Benton-Franklin Community Health Alliance Board, a member of the Board of Directors at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center, and the Tri-Cities Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Savitch is a member of the Washington State Hospital Association Board of Trustees, and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for WSHA. Mr. Savitch is a past President of the Association of Washington Public Hospital Districts and past President of the Northwest Washington Hospital Council. He also currently serves as the Board Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Western Healthcare Insurance Trust.

Rob has been with Providence since 1996. He worked for the Southwest Washington Region (Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA & Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA) for the first 15 years of his career in various Strategy and Business Development roles. Rob worked on numerous projects including an Emergency Department expansion, ICU addition, development of the total joint replacement program named Orthopaedic Healing Center, as well as a primary care expansion plan which brought primary care under the Providence brand back to his home town in Chehalis, WA. Rob moved to Walla Walla in 2011 to serve as the Chief Strategy Officer for Providence St. Mary Medical Center. The Providence St. Mary Regional Cancer Center also reports to him at St. Mary. Rob led the implementation of an interventional cardiology program, one call transfer center for referring hospitals, outreach clinic development, and expansion of radiation oncology services. In August 2015, with the affiliation of Kadlec Health System, his responsibilities grew to include CSO roles for Kadlec as well. Rob now leads all strategy and business development activities for the Southeast Washington Service Area. Service line development, outreach activities, telehealth and provisioning of Epic to referring hospitals and physician groups are some of his current responsibilities.

Mr. Harris joined Kadlec in 2011 as the Physician Practice Controller and was promoted to his current role in December 2015. Along with his responsibilities at Kadlec he serves as the finance leader for Providence St. Mary’s Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington as well. Prior to joining Kadlec, he spent 12 years at Kennewick General Hospital as the Controller and a Financial Analyst.
Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Utah State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington State University. He is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional from Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Reza is new to the Kadlec executive team (began serving in July of 2016), he and his wife and young daughter are new to the Pacific Northwest. He comes to Kadlec and the Tri-Cities area from Grand Junction Colorado, where he served for the past 5 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for St. Mary’s Medical Center, a regional trauma center serving a broad geographic area including western Colorado, eastern Utah, and southern Wyoming. Reza has worked in hospital administration since 1997, beginning his career in strategic planning and finance before steadily working his way up through various leadership roles in hospital operations. Prior to living in Colorado, he spent 20 years in San Antonio, Texas, most recently serving as Administrator for a hospital in the CHRISTUS system. Over the course of his career, Reza has enjoyed the challenge of bringing diverse groups of talented and committed people together to solve important challenges, and feels that working in healthcare is a lifelong career calling. Reza holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration and Bachelors Degree in Economics from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. Barry joined Kadlec Regional Medical Center as Chief Operating Officer of Kadlec Clinics in May 2016. Previously, he served as the Regional Vice President of the Ambulatory Network for SSM Health’s Mid-Missouri region. Prior to an exclusive focus on ambulatory operations, Mr. Barry was the VP of Strategy and Business Development at SSM Health’s St. Mary’s Hospital where he held operational oversight over the medical group. He has a long career in strategic planning and business development holding positions at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, CO and in the Front Range of Colorado at Catholic Health Initiatives and Centura Health.
Mr. Barry holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Boulder and an M.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University, in Ft. Collins, where he focused on Environmental Policy and Public Administration. Mr. Barry has served as a former board member for many professional, civil and personal organizations including Colorado’s ACHE chapter, The Grand Junction Visitor and Convention Bureau and the Capital City Soccer Club.
Dale Hoekema, MD, FCCP, VP, Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer, Intensivist

Dr. Hoekema was appointed to his current position as Vice President of Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer in 2013. Previously, he was an Intensivist in Kadlec’s ICU from January 2010 to 2013 and continues to practice critical care half time in the Kadlec intensive care unit. Prior to joining Kadlec he was the Director of the Neurosciences ICU at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and held the position of Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Hoekema is also a leader in the Neurocritical Care Society and directs and teaches in their annual meetings and workshops. He is a board member for the Neurosciences Center at Kadlec and participates in initiatives at Kadlec and with the medical community including Washington State Hospital Associations medical executive’s forums.
Dr. Hoekema has more than 25 years of experience in training medical students, residents and fellows at both the University of Washington and University of Mississippi Medical Schools and in providing physician leadership in both the academic and private practice settings.
He attended Montana State University graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1978. He was accepted as a WAMI student at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine in Seattle in 1978. After finishing medical school in 1982, he completed an Internal Medicine Residency at UW. He later completed a pulmonary diseases fellowship through UW and a Critical Care fellowship at the University of Mississippi.
Dr. Hoekema holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care, and Neuro-Critical Care.
Stephanie Williams, Director, Patient Experience

Stephanie joined Kadlec in July 2012 and currently serves on Kadlec’s executive team as the Director of Patient Experience. Prior to this role she held a position on the Kadlec Clinic operations team as the manager of marketing and business development. Her bachelor’s degree concentrated on psychology and sociology and she holds a master’s degree in organizational management. She started her healthcare career as a licensed social worker in mental health case management in the early 90’s and with further experience and education evolved into local and regional roles in marketing and operations and most recently at Kadlec in patient experience. Stephanie’s guiding purpose throughout her career has been a passion for helping others. This core value is what inspired her to seek out administrative level roles where she could make a difference by affecting policies and practices that better serve those in need. She is the executive team champion for mission initiatives at Kadlec and works collaboratively with others, including Kadlec’s Experience Board, to understand and improve the experience of Kadlec’s patients, caregivers and providers.

Mr. Clark began his career with Kadlec in Human Resources with additional duties added for Marketing and Community Relations. In 2008, additional responsibilities for Strategic and Business Planning were added. Previously, he was Director of Marketing/Human Resources for Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Idaho, and Personnel Supervisor for Coopers & Lybrand in Seattle. He has a B.A. in Social Science from John Wesley College in Owosso, Michigan, and a M.A. in Counseling from Seattle Pacific University. Mr. Clark is on the Boards of Grace Clinic and the Carson College of Business Advisory Board, Washington State University Tri-Cities. He is a former Chair of the Legislative and Labor Committee and former Board Member (ex-officio) of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration, past Board member and President of the Washington Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administrators and former member of the Board of the Society for Human Resources Management, Columbia Basin Chapter. In addition, Mr. Clark served six years as adjunct faculty in the School of Business, Washington State University-Tri-Cities and 20 years as a board member of the Western Healthcare Insurance Trust.

Alex Scortzaru joined Kadlec eight years ago and currently serves as Director of Information Systems responsible for providing strategy and leadership for all information systems. With more than 25 years of technical and management experience in healthcare industry Alex Scortzaru held various Information Technology management positions at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR and University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. In these positions, Alex has been responsible for information technology activities including Clinical and Business Applications, Enterprise Technology, Customer Service and Support, Service Desk, Telecommunications, Network & Infrastructure, Clinical Engineering, Health Information Management and Project Management. Alex Scortzaru holds a Master in Business Administration from University of Vermont, and Bachelor Science in Electrical Engineering from Timisoara, Romania. Alex Scortzaru is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) by Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Additionally he holds Program Management, Six Sigma Green Belt, ITIL and Epic Certifications. Alex Scortzaru is a CHIME CIO Boot Camp Alumni and a member of American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. Harper has been the V.P. of Nursing at Kadlec Regional Medical Center since November 2009. Previously, he served as the Director of Acute Care Services (2006-2009), Unit Manager of the Short Stay Unit and Surgical Floor (1998-2002). Mr. Harper received his ADN from Columbia Basin Community College (1998), BSN from Washington State University (2000-2001) and MBA in Health Care Management from University of Phoenix (2002-2004). Mr. Stephens was appointed to his current position as Vice President of Professional Services in June 2015. Previously, he was the Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. Prior to joining Kadlec he served as the Vice President of Professional Services at a Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and served as the community liaison for mental health services and created a community collaborative to better meet the needs. He served in the US Army where he trained as an x-ray tech and was stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco, CA. He has over 30 years of business and leadership experience in healthcare, graphics and construction. He has since spent the last 15 years of his career in leadership roles for professional services including Imaging and Lab. He attended Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA graduating in 1993 with a BA degree in Human Relations. He later completed a graduate degree in Public Health Administration from the University of Minnesota. He served as former board member for the Nevada County Economic Resource Council and Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Welch joined the Kadlec Regional Medical Center in January 2013 as the Executive Director of Kadlec Foundation. A year later he assumed the additional role of Vice President, Resource Development. He had previously worked with Kadlec Foundation as fundraising counsel for the NICU capital campaign. Mr. Welch received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Orono and for several years following, he managed fundraising and alumni relations for his national college fraternity. Mr. Welch has the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation and has served as Subject Matter Expert for developing examination materials and test design for the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is also a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy. Prior to joining Kadlec, Mr. Welch had served as Chief Development Officer for Southwest Florida YMCA and previously as the Chief Development Officer for PeaceHealth St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bellingham. Immediately prior to that he was the Vice President for Development with Winchester Hospital near Boston.

Ms. Mager began working at Kadlec in 2005 in Human Resources as a Staff Recruiter. She moved into the Employee/Labor Relations, Benefits, and Occupational Health areas and additional responsibilities of HR Manager were added. After the affiliation with Providence and a year of integration work, she started in her role as HR Director in November 2015. Previously, she was a Recruiter for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, WA. She has a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Human Resources from Washington State University. Ms. Mager has served on the Leadership Tri-Cities Board and led Medical Health & Services Day for several years.
